eJay Millenium Competition Results are out!!!

Everyone who has been eager to see the results of the recent eJay Millenium Competition that was ran by Fasttrak should get their boots on and go to the Results page now.   I didn't win of course, but I will leave you all to decide what you think of the results.   Personally I prefer alot less cheese on my burgers, but I guess fasttraks tastes are totally different..   Anyway, I am off to lick my wounds...and wonder what the heck I did so wrong... this is a turning point for me I think.  Must try harder, and possibly new avenues.  Hell, I aint a bitter man, but I wish there had been a trance section to the comp now....this sucks big time...and discussions with other ejayers confirms my opinion.  Big Whoops to Fasttrak for this one I think.

Jase over n out.

Previous Post prior to the competition results:

"We must all be awaiting the results of the latest eJay competition too, and as of upload of this update there is still no news from Fasttrak as to the winners of that lovely sound system for the pc or ejay goodies.  I have been told by Fasttrak that the results are due out imminently, so anyone who has sent in an entry, be a little more patient.  I sent in a mix for one of the sections so I am as eager as the rest of you to hear who the winners are.  Everyone wants to win it, and my feelings are that if I don't win, I know for sure that whoever mixed the winning entry will sure have had to mix a killer tune.  This in mind I would congratulate that person and would thoroughly enjoy listening to their mix."

Well it has been a very busy month for the eJay Clubber UK website hasn't it!  With lots of new additions going online this update, and changes to the existing ones, you should find this is a one stop shop for the thing you like about your PC most.  eJay.   This update sees new pages such as DE2 Techno Edition, Mixed Reviews (from eJay Clubber Uk, m8y, Paul Macey, Jon Tyers, and hopefully Oxygen.

Enjoy your stay...

 News Bulletins...

Quite alot of news this update...all revolving around the many new changes here at eJay Clubber UK.  There is bound to be something of interest to you, and if not this time around, then definitely the next time, so do keep coming back to see what's new on the site as it is always evolving.

eJay Clubber UK launches new webring!
Now here is what we have termed the special project for this month.  It is called "The eJay Webloop, which is going to be massive within the eJay community and if you have an eJay related website and would like to participate in this new and well managed web-ring, please go here and sign up now.

There is indeed a web-ring in existence at the moment which you will notice is called the Global eJay Syndicate, but here is 5 solid reasons why I think its time for a new one:

1.  There is no way to join it any more, so new ejay sites can't participate.
2.  The url for the GES web-ring no longer sends you to a sign up page.  It very cheekily sends you to the Anomaly 7 mp3 page.  This is something he was not supposed to do.  And his webring is incomplete because of it.
3.  There are dead links on the ring which makes it virtually unusable now.
4.  The creator of the web-ring (Anomaly 7), does not actively promote eJay anymore and has moved onto promoting himself on MP3 only.  A good move if you have talent certainly, but it now appears he doesn't manage the web-ring.
5. eJay Clubber UK has been around since Dance eJay and Rave eJay were released, and we have supported you ever since, so it makes perfect sense for a well established eJay site to take the reigns and produce a web-ring that actually works.  heh..plus The Ejay Webloop has a better graphical interface.

So you agree that the eJay Community needs a decent web-ring, and want to join this new venture?  Submit your site here.  Sign up is simple and only takes a few minutes of your valuable time.

eJay Clubber UK welcomes its new staff!
This month we have pleasure in signing up 3 new staff members to the expanding team at eJay Clubber UK.  I would like to personally welcome to the team the following people (in no order), Jon Tyers (JD Messiah), Paul Macey and  m8y ().  Good luck with your first projects guys!!!

I would also like to introduce the thoughts and comments of  a guest reviewer who I deem a good online friend... Simon (Oxygen), who has very kindly offered to help.  Thanks my good friend, and I look forward to your first submissions.

They are joining the site to provide you with:

More Reviews
More News
More Articles
More Tips
More of their own tunes (all reviewed without prejudice by other site reviewers aside from themselves)
More new ideas (Hopefully!)
and last but not least... more reasons to come back to this site

eJay Clubber UK site expanding again!
Well, I have been slaving away again doing a major rework on several areas of this site to bring you the best content possible on one single site. New staff have signed up to assist with the site, and also there is the addition of new site features such as:

Dance eJay 2 Techno Edition Pages   Yes, it is about time isn't it!
Mixed Reviews (the very best of eJay mixes all in one easily browseable place)
eJay Masters (every great eJayer should be called this!...but who are they?)
eJay Message Board (This replaces the old one and is much better)
eJay Webloop (This is the new web-ring for the eJay websites.
MP3 Showcase (Check out the eJayers that have their own MP3 sites)

Also, don't forget to check the About area of the site for the profiles for the newest site members.. awaiting these back from them at the moment, so keep checking back...that page will be getting some update very soon.

eJay Clubber UK brings up-to-date mp3 news!
Underneath the buttons on this page in the left column you will now find up to the minute MP3 news as it becomes available.  It is constantly updating, so keep checking back on this site for the very latest news from the MP3 world.  eJay Clubber UK's: Jase has just launched his own site on mp3 too, and you can visit it here

eJay Clubber UK site changes!
Take a look at the graphic I added to this page... its above this text under the welcome banner, and it took me all night to draw.  I wanted a new graphic and as I am a dab hand with paintshop pro, came up with that.  Its basically the Eye of Horus (the name of my last tune that I wrote), and it has as you can see, a 3D rendition of the ejay sequence bars coming out of it.  Nice or What?   Please do not use this graphic on any other website or marketing material unless you have the full permission of the designer (me).  Also, on site, you will notice the removal of the Dance eJay and Rave eJay pages.  I don't consider these programs being within my wishes for this site now, and prefer to now focus on Dance eJay 2, Techno eJay (page coming soon folks!) and of course MP3.  You may also notice that I have ditched the idea of producing a chart.  Quite simply, the option was there for me, and I just don't have the time to sit here deciding which tune is best when what I should really be doing is enjoying life outside of the computer and the internet.  There has to be a balance, so I try and do lots of different things.

Also updated this time around is the Links page and opening splash page to the site.  The brand new look links page is bound to please as it now provides features on the eJay Clubber UK most visited sites as well as the standard links.  Got to be happy with that eh?!

ejay.co.uk looks set to launch...
News from the net: it looks like there is a new eJay website about to launch which looking pretty good all ready to say the least.  First impressions are that the site features less eJay related content than other included content such as real-world DJ's and professionally written tunes.   I did however

feel I had visited a bit to early as yet, because a lot of the links where down, and I wasn't able to register on the site properly.  It is however featured in the eJay magazine, which I have in my hands at this very moment.  The eJay site is here.

New Magazine:
eJay - The Web Music Mag
By the time you read this, Future Publishing will have published and distributed the new eJay Magazine which we've all heard about.  The magazine is available in newsagents now, at a cost of £2.95 and contains many articles ranging from eJay related to MP3 and the music industry.  There's a nice eJay tutorial in there as well so even beginners get something out of the magazine.

Only one comment though... Oy Helen! what happened to the feature you wanted my participation in?   I rang you up and you never got back to me.  I will email you again...perhaps you totally forgot.   Bit of a shame you remembered all the others though eh.

New Tune: Clubber UK's "Eye of Horus"
Well it didn't take me long to recover from my disillusionment surrounding the competition.  The sun as always gave way to overcast skies and dullness, so I sat down and produced a new tune using Dance eJay 2.  My latest tune "Eye of Horus" continues a pet theme surrounding the Egyptian Gods, and still delivers what I consider to be quality trance.    I distributed the mix to top name ejayers such as Oxygen, Peppy, Paul Macey and JD Messiah last night over ICQ, and got such good feedback that it was all I could do to prevent myself from fighting extreme tiredness last night to post this mix then.  I resisted though, and went to bed deciding to post it on the sunday instead.

In a new move, I am posting the tune to this site in both MIX and MP3 format.  I don't have a ton of webspace, but I will see about posting my other mixes in MP3 too.  Enjoy my latest mix... it was responsible for my designing the graphic at the top of this page.

eJay Clubber UK mix submissions.

Until further notice can you please hold from sending me your mixes as I am trying to work through the masses of mixes that I have received so far due to what can only be described as absolute laziness on my part together with a massive increase in the amount of mixes already sent in.  There is only so much time I can spend on my computer these days due to my entertaining a new girl in my life (which has to take priority) and also a very busy clubbing social life to boot.

PATCH AVAILABLE FOR DANCE eJAY 2!!
There were several minor bugs in the retail release of Dance eJay 2 which have been address in a patch which is now available for download from this site.  You can get the patch here.  Unzip the file, and follow the readme file contained in the zip for instructions on its usage.

Linking to my site...
Many of you have asked if you can have a banner from me, and some time ago I designed a small temporary button banner for all of you.  However, now I have sat down and done a full sized banner as you all requested, so here it is... (its 23k total size and spans 13 frames)  Can you please make sure that your link is directed to http://www.clubberuk.freeuk.com and use one of the two banners provided.  If you can only spare room for a text link, then can you make the text for the link 'eJay Clubber UK - Trance & House' and the target url being http://www.clubberuk.freeuk.com
